Graco Pack 'n Play Review
Graco does not sell one Pack 'n Play, it sells a line. The models differ by 16 lb and by how much the brand is willing to tell you.

The short answer
Buy the Graco Pack ’n Play Simple Solutions. It is the only model in the line we compared that publishes a weight limit for every mode it offers — playard under 30 lb, bassinet under 15 lb, changer up to 25 lb — in a 22.88 lb frame with a bassinet and a changing station included. If it has to travel, take the Jetsetter at 13.7 lb instead and accept that Graco publishes almost nothing about it.
“Graco Pack ’n Play” is not a product, it is a line — and the models in it differ by about 16 lb, by whether they include a bassinet, and most consequentially by how much Graco is willing to tell you. This page is the four models in our registry side by side on exactly those terms.
One thing to say first, because it shapes the whole review: we have not set these up, timed them or slept a child in one. There is no lab here. Everything below is a published figure quoted from the page it was read on, with the date — and where a figure is missing, the review says it is missing rather than filling it in.
The line, side by side
| Model | Weight | Set up | Playard limit | Bassinet limit | Changer limit | Packed |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Simple Solutions | 22.88 lb | 39.5 x 28.25 x 29 in | Under 30 lb / 35 in | Under 15 lb | Up to 25 lb | Not published |
| Jetsetter | 13.7 lb | Not published | Not published | Not published | Changing pad included | About 4,246 cu in |
| Day2Dream | Not published | Not published | Not published | Not published | None | Not published |
| Change 'n Carry | 30.03 lb | 33.25 x 28.5 x 40 in (H x W x D) | Holds up to 30 lb | No bassinet | Integrated, limit not published | Not published |
Each row is quoted from the source cited for that model in Sources, read between 2026-09-27 and 2026-09-29. "Not published" means Graco or the retail listing does not state it on the page we read — not that the frame lacks a limit.
The honest headline from that table is how many cells are empty. Of 28 data points, a clear majority of the mode limits are unpublished, and one model publishes neither a weight nor a dimension. That is the most important finding in this review and it is not a flattering one.
Simple Solutions: the one that documents itself
This is the model to buy and the reason is boring: it tells you things. Playard under 30 lb and under 35 in tall. Bassinet under 15 lb. Changer up to 25 lb. 39.5 x 28.25 x 29 in set up, 22.88 lb on the scale.
Those three limits are not the same number and they do not arrive at the same time. The bassinet’s 15 lb is roughly five to six months — and rolling over ends bassinet use regardless of weight, often sooner. The changer’s 25 lb is roughly 18 months. The playard’s 30 lb and 35 in is somewhere past two years, or whenever the child works out how to climb.
Knowing that in advance is what stops you paying extra for a stage you will use for five months. It is the entire argument for this model over its siblings, and it is why it leads our pack ’n play roundup as well.
Jetsetter: the travel one, mostly on trust
13.7 lb including a bassinet, a portable changing pad and a domed canopy is genuinely impressive, and about 4,246 cubic inches folded is a real packed figure — the only one in the line. If a frame has to occasionally go in a car boot or get checked on a flight, this is the Graco for it.
What you are not getting is documentation. No playard limit, no bassinet limit, no set-up dimensions on the page we read. You are buying 13.7 lb and a feature list, and taking the rest on the brand’s reputation. That is a defensible trade for some buyers and an unacceptable one for others; what it is not is a thing we can paper over.
If the frame is genuinely going to fly, we would point you elsewhere: a purpose-built travel crib carries differently. The Guava Lotus is 15 lb packing to 24 x 12 x 8 in with padded backpack straps, and the head-to-head is on Guava Lotus versus Pack ’n Play.
Day2Dream: a good idea with a missing spec sheet
The detachable bassinet is the best feature in this line and it is not close. A bassinet that comes off the frame and travels around the house on its own, over a 27 x 36 in mattress pad, is a bassinet that actually gets used — because the newborn naps where the adults are rather than in an empty bedroom.
And then: Graco publishes neither a bassinet weight limit nor a product weight for this model on the page we read. For a frame whose selling point is its bassinet, the missing bassinet limit is the one figure you would most want. We rank it third for that reason alone, not because of the product.
Change ’n Carry: read the weight first
30.03 lb, holding up to 30 lb, 40 in deep. It has an integrated changing table and it is the deepest frame here, which means real sleep space.
The name is doing some work it has not earned. 30.03 lb is more than twice the Jetsetter and about 7 lb more than the Simple Solutions, and nobody carries 30 lb up a flight of stairs with a child in the other arm. Treat this as a stationary frame with a changing table, judge it on that, and it is reasonable. Treat the second half of its name as a feature and you will be disappointed.
Which Graco, for which house
One frame at home, covering the first three years: Simple Solutions. All three modes, all three limits published, 22.88 lb.
It has to travel as well as live somewhere: Jetsetter at 13.7 lb, accepting the unpublished limits.
A newborn who naps in the living room: Day2Dream, for the detachable bassinet, knowing its limit is unpublished.
A stationary frame with a changing table: Change ’n Carry at 30.03 lb, and do not plan to move it.
A crib for a grandparents’ house: that is a different set of priorities — who sets it up, and how often. See the second-house page.

Graco Pack 'n Play Simple Solutions Playard
The only Graco here that publishes a limit for every mode it offers — 30 lb playard, 15 lb bassinet, 25 lb changer — in a 22.88 lb frame.
Best for: One frame covering all three jobs at home
| Set up | 39.5 x 28.25 x 29 in |
|---|---|
| Product weight | 22.88 lb |
| Playard limit | under 35 in tall and under 30 lb, unable to climb out |
| Bassinet limit | under 15 lb |
| Changer limit | up to 25 lb |
| Includes | removable full-size bassinet and an integrated diaper changing station |
Specs from Graco Pack 'n Play Simple Solutions Playard retail listing, read 2026-09-29. Manufacturers revise specs without notice — check the listing before you buy.
Good at
- Publishes all three mode limits: playard under 30 lb and under 35 in, bassinet under 15 lb, changer up to 25 lb
- Removable full-size bassinet and an integrated changing station, both included
- 39.5 x 28.25 x 29 in set up
- 22.88 lb, which is light for a frame with this much in it
Bad at
A 25 lb changer limit arrives at roughly 18 months for an average child, well before the playard limit does — so the changing station is the first thing you stop using, not the last. And no packed dimension is published.

IllustrativeGraco Pack 'n Play Jetsetter
13.7 lb with a bassinet, changing pad and canopy in the box, folding to about 4,246 cubic inches — the lightest full-feature frame Graco publishes a figure for.
Best for: A Pack 'n Play that also has to travel
| Weight | 13.7 lb |
|---|---|
| Folded volume | about 4,246 cubic inches |
| Includes | domed canopy, portable changing pad, bassinet with two-speed vibration |
Specs from BabyGearLab — Graco Jetsetter measurements, read 2026-09-27. Manufacturers revise specs without notice — check the listing before you buy.
Good at
- 13.7 lb including the bassinet, portable changing pad and domed canopy
- About 4,246 cubic inches folded — the only Graco here with a published packed figure
- Bassinet has built-in two-speed vibration
Bad at
Graco publishes no per-mode weight limits and no set-up dimensions for this model on the page we read. It is simultaneously the most travel-ready and the least documented frame in the line.
How it scores (out of 10)
Overall 8.6 — a research score against published specs, not a test result. See how we pick.
IllustrativeGraco Pack 'n Play Day2Dream Travel Bassinet Playard
The bassinet comes off the frame and travels around the house on its own, over a 27 x 36 in mattress pad — which is what makes it actually get used.
Best for: A newborn who naps where the adults are
| Mattress pad | 27 x 36 in (68.5 x 91.4 cm) |
|---|---|
| Modes | playard plus a separate portable travel bassinet |
Specs from Graco Pack 'n Play Day2Dream product page, read 2026-09-27. Manufacturers revise specs without notice — check the listing before you buy.
Good at
- Playard plus a genuinely separate portable travel bassinet
- 27 x 36 in (68.5 x 91.4 cm) mattress pad
- Bassinet moves room to room independently of the frame
Bad at
Graco publishes neither a bassinet weight limit nor a product weight for this model on the page we read. Those are the two figures you most want before buying a bassinet-led frame, and both are missing.
How it scores (out of 10)
Overall 8.3 — a research score against published specs, not a test result. See how we pick.
IllustrativeGraco Pack 'n Play Change 'n Carry Playard
30.03 lb holding up to 30 lb, 40 in deep with an integrated changing table — the most frame and the least portability in the line.
Best for: A frame that stays put, with a changing table built in
| Set up | 33.25 in (H) x 28.5 in (W) x 40 in (D) |
|---|---|
| Product weight | 30.03 lb |
| Capacity | holds up to 30 lb |
| Includes | integrated changing table |
Specs from Graco Pack 'n Play Change 'n Carry Playard product page, read 2026-09-29. Manufacturers revise specs without notice — check the listing before you buy.
Good at
- Integrated changing table
- 33.25 in high x 28.5 in wide x 40 in deep set up — the deepest frame here
- Publishes a capacity: holds up to 30 lb
Bad at
30.03 lb, which is more than twice the Jetsetter, and "Change 'n Carry" is a name rather than a description — nobody is carrying 30 lb anywhere with a child in the other arm. No separate bassinet or changer limits are published either.
How it scores (out of 10)
Overall 7.6 — a research score against published specs, not a test result. See how we pick.
IllustrativeQuestions parents actually ask
Which Graco Pack 'n Play is best?
The Simple Solutions, for most people. It is the only model in this group that publishes a weight limit for all three of its modes — playard under 30 lb, bassinet under 15 lb, changer up to 25 lb — in a 22.88 lb frame with a bassinet and a changing station included.
What is the weight limit on a Graco Pack 'n Play?
It depends on the mode and on the model, and Graco does not publish it consistently. The Simple Solutions states playard under 30 lb and under 35 in tall, bassinet under 15 lb and changer up to 25 lb. The Change 'n Carry states a 30 lb capacity. For the Jetsetter and Day2Dream we could find no per-mode limits published at all.
How much does a Graco Pack 'n Play weigh?
Across the four models here the published figures run from 13.7 lb for the Jetsetter to 30.03 lb for the Change 'n Carry, with the Simple Solutions at 22.88 lb. Graco publishes no weight at all for the Day2Dream on the page we read. That 16 lb spread is the single biggest difference in the line.
Is a Graco Pack 'n Play good for travel?
Only the Jetsetter really, at 13.7 lb and about 4,246 cubic inches folded — and even that has no backpack straps. If it is flying, a purpose-built travel crib carries far better; the Guava Lotus is 15 lb packing to 24 x 12 x 8 in with padded backpack straps.
Can a baby sleep in a Pack 'n Play every night?
Yes. The AAP names a portable play yard conforming to CPSC standards, with a firm flat mattress and a fitted sheet, as an appropriate sleep surface. The thin pad it shipped with is the correct firmness — what makes it unsafe is adding a softer mattress, a topper or loose bedding.
How long does a Pack 'n Play last?
Until the child can climb out, which is the limit CPSC frames the category around rather than a birthday. For most children that lands somewhere between two and three years, and some stop being containable earlier. The bassinet and changer stages end much sooner — around five to six months and 18 months respectively.
