Panel geometry is the interesting difference
Most carriers handle the growing child with a bucket seat that widens as the child does. Tula publishes something more explicit: three width settings from 5 to 15 in and two height settings (babytula.com, read 2026-09-27). That matters for two groups. A petite wearer needs the short panel setting to get the baby high enough on a short torso. And a large toddler needs the 15 in width so the fabric supports the thigh to the knee, which is the position the International Hip Dysplasia Institute recommends (hipdysplasia.org, read 2026-09-27).
LÍLLÉbaby covers the newborn end with a dedicated front-fetal position instead. It is a different solution to the same problem, and for a newborn it is arguably the better one — it is just less adjustable in the middle of the range.

It sets how far the fabric extends under the child's thighs.
